07/13/17 – PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – CDBG DOWNTOWN NEGAUNEE FAÇADE GRANT APPLICATION

The Negaunee City Council will conduct a public hearing on a proposed Community Development Block Grant Facade Application during its regularly scheduled council meeting on July 13, 2017.

City Council meets at 7:00 p.m. at the Negaunee Senior Center located at the corner of Jackson and Tobin Streets, use the Tobin Street entrance.

The proposed application is funding exterior improvements to two downtown Negaunee buildings. The property owners will match the federal funds with their own funds. The City is requesting $94,735 in CDBG funds to be matched with at least $94,735 in private investment and $4,737 from the City of Negaunee for grant administration activities. Persons wishing to comment on the application, or having questions about the application process are encouraged to attend the public hearing.
