The Negaunee Planning Commission shall hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of securing citizen input regarding an amendment to the Zoning Map Ordinance RR Rural Residential to IND Industrial parcels #52-53-705-003-00, 52-53-704-008-00, 52-53-704-007-00, 52-53-705-001-00, located on both sides of CR 480 consisting of 120 acres. The City of Negaunee received a Community Development Block Grants for the elimination of blight within the downtown area. Specifically, funds were made available to two property owners to assist them with making improvements to the facades of their existing businesses: Smarty’s Saloon and Tino’s Bar and Pizza. The Negaunee City Council will hold a Close-Out Public Hearing on activities associated with the Community Development Block Grant: MSC 217015-CDF. The City received $94,735 in federal funds and the property owners were required to provide a match of $94,955.
The Close-Out Public Hearing will be held during the regular Negaunee City Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the Negaunee Senior Center, 410 Jackson Street, (Tobin Street entrance), Negaunee beginning at 7:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend are reminded to use the Tobin Street entrance.

City of Negaunee is accepting proposals for the Preparing and HMA Patching of a 20’ x 73’ section of Brown Ave. most existing HMA is removed, description of work can be found on here (Brown Ave Paving). Bids will be received by the City of Negaunee, P.O. box 70, Negaunee, Mi. 49866 until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday September 20th, 2018 at which time the proposals will be read aloud. Envelopes must be marked “Brown Ave Paving”.
All work must be completed within 40 days of the notice to proceed. Notice to proceed will be issued with award and signed contract.

The City of Negaunee is seeking a price quotation to provide a ten year electric distribution system plan, including a five year construction work plan, for their municipally owned electric distribution system.
