Press Release – City of Negaunee Permit Policy Update concerning the COVID-19 Pandemic

Effective immediately, the following changes to policies for permits concerning events and large gatherings held on public lands and areas owned/operated by the City of Negaunee are in place.
The City is taking proactive approaches in trying to assess the risk that COVID-19 may place on staff and the public at-large. The attached memo has been sent to all known events and large gatherings organizations. We hope that they will begin to discuss among themselves how they may approach their events in 2020, with COVID-19 in mind.

Events and gatherings such as these are an integral part of our City’s fabric and a major reason Negaunee is such a great place. We thank all of these organizations for their time and effort year-after-year.
