The Negaunee Fire Department is a paid-on-call department that was started in 1868.
The Negaunee Fire Department is staffed by on-call firefighters; however, the station is not staffed continually. There is an answering machine to leave a message if you happen to call when no one is in the building.
Burn Permits are available at City Hall 10am-4pm Monday through Friday.
If you would like to speak to a firefighter or get a tour of the fire hall, the Fire Department is open from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Mondays of each month. If you are not available at those times, please call the department at 475-9811 and leave a message.
The dumpster behind the DPW is for scrap metal donations to the Firefighters Association smoke detector fund.
