Negaunee Public Library

Welcome to the Negaunee Public Library

The library is currently in Phase 3: Expanded Curbside Services and Computer Appointments. See the press release for complete information.

Computer appointments are now available, for 30 minutes at a time. Patrons are welcome to print for 10 cents/page from the public computers. This service is not available on Saturday mornings. Masks are required, and staff will take your temperature with a touchless scanner.

The dropboxes are open and patrons can return materials. Patrons can also call or email the library to arrange a time to pick up items curbside. Staff will place your items on a book cart at the top of the stairs to city hall. Please pick up your items at your appointed time. If you are unable to walk to the book cart, please let staff know when you arrange your appointment. We will bring your items to your car, but ask that you please wear a mask.

The staff can make copies (10 cents/page), and send faxes ($1/page); patrons can pay with cash or check. This service is not available on Saturday mornings. If you are directly interacting with staff, we ask that you please wear a mask.

Summer reading has begun! Kits for youth ages 3-18 are available by request via our Google Form. Adults can request a book review slip for a chance to win prizes; entry slips are also included with every adult book or audiobook checkout.

Item donations may be accepted at this time. Please call to make an appointment. Only one bag or box will be accepted per household per day.

Negaunee Public Library items are available, including daily newspapers, all magazines, and the “Watts Up?” power meters. Interlibrary loaning is available from most U.P. libraries, and through MeLCat.

All online services will still be provided. Library staff are also answering the phone during normal library hours, at (906) 475-7700 ext. 18.

Please wash your hands, wear a mask and keep six feet (social distancing) between yourself and people not in your household when you must leave the house, and stay safe.
