Negaunee Public Library

Welcome to the Negaunee Public Library

The library is currently closed, and will remain closed until a reopening plan has been approved by both the library advisory board and the city manager.
Furthermore, the library asks that patrons do not use the library dropboxes at Negaunee City Hall or Negaunee Township Hall, as staff will not be checking or emptying the dropboxes.
All library materials will be due back Monday, June 15, after the order expires, or whenever we have been approved to begin curbside services.
All online services will still be provided. Library staff are also answering the phone during normal library hours, at (906) 475-7700 ext. 18.

Please wash your hands, wear a mask and keep six feet (social distancing) between yourself and people not in your household when you must leave the house, and stay safe. We hope to see you again when we reopen.

Library Advisory Board special meeting

The library advisory board will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, to discuss the library’s reopening plan. See the library board’s page, via the menu at left, for more information.

Library Advisory Board vacancies

Have you ever wanted to have a greater say in the library? Would you like to serve your community? There’s a vacancy on our advisory board, and we’d love to have you! The board meets on the third Tuesday of every month, at 10:15 a.m. Board applications can be found by clicking here and submitted at city hall. Applications for this and other boards are approved by the city council. Board members must be residents of the City of Negaunee.
